Bonfire Night is just around the corner and there are a whole host of fireworks displays and entertainment taking place in local towns and venues in the coming days.

Skegness

In Skegness the Royal Hotel on Drummond Road will be holding its traditional ‘Fireworks Display’ on November 5 in aid of the Skegness Rotary Club.

Doors will open at 6.30pm, with the fireworks fun commencing from 7.30pm.

As always the evening will also boast the usual array of refreshments stalls to whet the whistle and satisfy the appetite.

Entry is £1 per person, with moneys raised going toward the Rotarians.

Burgh le Marsh

The Lyndhurst Garden Centre on the outskirts of Burgh le Marsh will also play host to an annual bonfire and fireworks spectacular again this year.

The Spilsby 787 Round Table Charity Fireworks display at the garden centre will be held on Saturday, November 2.

It is set to get underway at 6.30pm, when the massive bonfire will be lit, with over £7,000 worth of fireworks set to light up the night sky from 7.30pm onwards.

The evening will also boast a hog roast, local Lincs sausages, burgers, mulled wine and more.

Guy Fawkes, kids’ novelty toys and children’s rides will also entertain on the night.

Entry is £3 per adult and £1 per child with all proceeds going towards local charities.

Alford

Alford’s Round Table will be holding a fireworks display on Saturday, November 2 at Alford Cricket Club.

The gates are set to open at 6pm, with the fireworks getting underway around 7.15pm.

Entry is £3 per adult and £2 per child.

EAST KIRKBY

The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre will host a spectacular fireworks display on Saturday, November 2.

A spokesperson said: “This is possibly our best value event as you can join us for 11 hours experiencing the Lancaster taxy runs at day and night, enjoy a hog roast, play with glowsticks, watch a WW2 German searchlight and most importantly build memories for years to come with the biggest firework display at the centre.”

The fireworks get underway at 8pm, but there are Lancaster taxy runs at noon and 3pm, a kit demonstration at 4pm, and a whole host of activities from 6pm onwards.

Skegness Stadium

The Skegness Stadium racing circuit will also be getting in on the Bonfire Night action, with a special afternoon/evening of racing and fireworks fun on Sunday, November 3.

The special End of Season party features a massive £5,000 fireworks display.

It all gets underway at 2pm, with Brisca F2 Stock Cars, 1300 Saloon Stock Cars and Rookie Bangers (non Honda mv) racing.

The day will also feature a banger and caravan destruction derby.

Advance adult tickets are available for only £10.99.

Tickets can also be bought at the gate at a price of £13.50 for adults, £12.50 for seniors, £6 for juniors and kids go free.

Spilsby

Spilsby’s fireworks and bonfire fun will take place on November 5.

The Rotary Club of Spilsby event will get underway off Post Office Lane in Spilsby at 7pm, with gates opening at 6.30pm.

Admission is £3 for adults and £2 for children under 12.

You can get one free admission if you bring along your own Guy for the festivities (before 6.45pm only).

The prize for the best Guy will be decided at 6.45pm.

The evening will also feature refreshments - including mulled wine, tea, coffee, soft drink and hot food by the local Scouts. ‘Luminous Things’ will also be available.

Wainfleet

The Bateman’s Brewery visitor centre will also be getting in on the action with a fireworks display and bonfire on Tuesday, November 5. Doors open at 6pm.

Attractions also include a beer tent, hog roast, barbecue and stalls. Entry is £5 for adults, £2.50 for years five to 12 and free for under fives. Discounts are available for groups.
