It was just capital in Alford at a themed day inspired by one of London’s most famous districts.
Alford does Covent Garden re-created the stalls and street entertainment of the popular West End shopping and tourist destination.
The event was organised by Jo Rook, Anne Collingwood and Sandra Hall who wanted a change from their regular coffee mornings.
Staged in the town’s Market Place, it raised almost £1,000 for Alford Corn Exchange.
Entertainment included Zumba displays by Luan, Louth Lindy Hop, Kendojo kick boxing and Cool Inflations balloon man.
Local businesses showed their support holding stalls and games, donating prizes and proceeds to the cause.
A fancy dress competition, judged by Lincs FM DJ Rob Hammond, was won by Isla Kneen in the balloon basket who received a family day pass to Butlins.
Anne said: “We are over the moon with the local support and the turnout on the day and we will definitely think about organising another event of this type.”
