Lincolnshire Co-op will be sprucing up an area of Skegness this weekend as part of a national clean-up campaign ... and you are invited to join in.
The organisation has been lending its support to the Big Co-op Clean for the last week-and-a-half.
The initiative has been organised by Co-operatives UK, a national body representing co-operative enterprises.
It has been held to mark the body’s annual Co-operatives Fortnight.
The aim of the Big Co-op Clean, it says, is to ‘make a difference to local people’ and ‘introduce people to co-operation’.
Lincolnshire Co-op has pledged to take part in seven volunteering projects around its trading area during the campaign.
On Saturday, this will include work at Anderby Creek, in Skegness.
Members, staff, customers and other co-ops are invited to join the clean-up.
It starts at 10.30am, with a planned finish of 12.30pm. Lunch will be provided.
To volunteer, register your attendance at www.lin colnshire.coop/events or call Lincolnshire Co-op’s membership and community team on 01522 544 632.
