Green wheelie bin collection to resume for Skegness

The collection of green wheelie bins will resume in East Lindsey from March 18, 2013.

People living in the area are being asked to check their waste calendar online at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk or to contact the East Lindsey District Council’s council’s customer service team to request a calendar if they can’t access the internet.

The first green bin collection for each home will be the collection on or after March 18, 2013.

The green bin is for green waste and can be used for the following items; grass cuttings, leaves, plants, twigs and sticks, prunings, cut flowers.

But residents are reminded not to pack their bin too tightly or overfill it.

The district council is encouraging the use of home composters, which are available at subsidised rates by calling 0845 130 6090 and online at www.lincscc.getcomposting.com
