Croft solar park plans passed

Plans to build a 55 acre solar park at Croft were approved by East Lindsey District Council’s planning committee last week.

Planning chairman Coun Neil Cooper explained that the application had been called in to hear neighbouring residents’ concerns about whether the two metre tall solar panels would be sufficiently screened.

Coun Cooper felt the applicant’s commitment to a planting scheme would screen the panels adequately and he also said the applicant’s £75,000 offer to Croft Parish Council was ‘marvellous’.
