Children swapped the classroom for the great outdoors to discover the natural world at the Coastal Eco Centre in Skegness.

The group of 60 reception pupils from Richmond School went on a mini-beat hunt and discovered dens at the eco centre on Richmond Drive.

The school believes in the concept of outdoor learning and feel that all the children, had a positive learning experience.

Class teachers Suzanne Rutherford Rachel Stacey said that the children enjoyed the activities and learnt a lot of information about the world around them.
