LOCAL farmers JL Dodsworth & Co from Burgh le Marsh have been shortlisted as finalists in the Lincolnshire Environmental awards 2012.
The award is open to community groups, businesses and farmers schools from Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
THis Wednesday the finalists will make presentations to the panel of judges of the green award scheme, chaired by renowned environmentalist Professor David Bellamy.
Later on in the day the final judging of each category will take place and the announcement of the winning entries will be announced at the Bentley Hotel in Lincoln.
The Burgh farmers have been nominated for the best farm / rural enterprise award, supported by Cemex for designing 180 acres of wet grassland to provide habitat for breeding waders and waterfowl, in addition to plots of wild bird mixes and plots of nectar and pollen mix.
