The Rotary Club in Skegness has announced the date for its latest annual Santa Fun Run.

This year’s event is set to take place on Sunday, December 9 when runners and walkers of all ages will cover a course of approximately five kilometres around the Skegness seafront - starting and ending on Tower Esplanade.

As in previous years, the £10 entry fee for this charity event gives participants a Santa outfit, a competitor’s number and a finishing medal.

Last year a large crowd of entrants turned out on the Sunday morning at 10.30am to enjoy the festive atmosphere and raised over £2,600 for the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance and other Rotary charities.

“This year again the scene is set for a great fun morning with enthusiastic Santas of all shapes and sizes setting off at 10.30am, started off by one of the Christmas Pantomime stars appearing at the Embassy Centre,” said a spokesperson for the Rotarians.
