A SWASHBUCKLING tale of ferocious pirates, mischievous monkeys and talking parrots, was the choice for Skegness Junior School’s end of year musical production on Thursday
More than 80 year six cast members starred in Pirates of the Curry Bean - a humorous high seas adventure featuring a merry band of pirates and their quest for treasure.
Year six group leader Phil Allen said: “We knew our children would be enthused by the pirate theme and would enjoy getting dressed up, making costumes and singing and dancing in a real life theatre in front of a vast audience.”
Making the most of the impressive stage at the Embassy Theatre, Skegness, the young actors enjoyed the benefits of expensive stage lighting, musical accompaniment and microphones to enhance their performance.
The theatrical show was the grand finale of an afternoon’s entertainment featuring musical performances from every class in the school.
Year three pupils performed their version of the Beatle’s classic, Yellow Submarine followed by Octopus Garden from year four before year five sung and danced to the classic ditty, Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside.
