PUPILS from Halton Holgate and New Leake Primary Schools were able to explore the far reaches of outer space and the inner workings of the human body at a special event in Spilsby recently.

The youngsters travelled to the King Edward VI Humanities College for a series of special science workshops in the school’s Eco Barn.

Margaret Reeve, Headteacher of King Edward VI, said: “The youngsters were quick to tell our staff what fun they had, and how keen they were to come back to study ‘Earth and Rocks’ in a few weeks’ time.

“One student even said that his afternoon with the science department had been the best in his life!

“It’s brilliant to receive such positive feedback and know that they have gone away excited by what they have learnt.”
