Schools reopen after snow closures
Most of the schools forced to close due to yesterday’s snow and ice will be open today.
In the Standard’s region, only Lady Jane Franklin School in Spilsby has announced its closure to Lincolnshire County Council.
A further five schools in the county are also closed, mainly around Lincoln and Grantham.
Yesterday eight local schools were among around 50 county-wide to be listed as closed on the council’s website after overnight snow made for treacherous driving conditions.
Skegness Academy was also closed, although the Greenwood Dale Foundation has announced it will be open today.
Light snow and icy conditions are expected to continue for the next few days.
