As part of Richmond Primary School’s healthy school initiative Year four teachers Mr Voce and Mr Mills took their students to Skegness’ Tesco store on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14.

“The school are committed to teaching the students the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, including healthy eating and exercise and we believe that the more children know, the more empowered they will be, to make the right choices,” said a school spokesman.

Tesco’s eat happy project, called Farm to Fork offered the children interactive educational fun, to keep them engaged and interested in store as students were encouraged to touch and taste their way through the intriguing world of food.

A spokesman for the school said: “The children and staff had a fantastic time interacting in store”.
