Queen Elizabeth Grammar School students averaged 11 A grades each in their GCSEs.

STUDENTS at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Alford averaged a staggering 11 A grades each in their GCSEs.

The school recorded an average points score of 600 per student and every student gained at least five A*-C grades.

Head teacher Angie Francis said: “Students continue to achieve highly and we look forward to working with them in the sixth form.

“It is pleasing to see the students rewarded for their hard work and I congratulate them on their success.”
