SPILSBY’S King Edward VI Humanities College welcomed over 20 pupils from New Leake Primary School to their state of the art Eco Barn recently.

The youngsters enjoyed an afternoon of science in the college’s eco-friendly building.

As well as learning about reversible and non-reversible change the children also got to make some slime, discussed the burning of metals and got to make pure white salt from rock salt.

They also got to match the flames of the burning metals to the colours given off by fireworks,

New Leake Primary School will be attending KEVI for a further five afternoons of science fun.

Their headteacher, Ms Jane Whant, said “Thank you to the college for a great afternoon. Our children and staff came back buzzing”.
