Principal hails improved attendance

SKEGNESS Academy’s principal has hailed a “drastic improvement” in the school’s attendance figures.

Attendance in years seven to 11 is at an all-time high of 95.76 per cent. Sixth form attendance sits at 97.68 per cent for a combined figure of 96.72 per cent.

The figures are higher than national trends.

“The drastic improvement is due to the high quality lessons that students are now part of and the abundance of support that is available to students and their families to ensure they are in school when they are supposed to be,” said Kelvin Horsnby.
