Senior citizens were given a Christmas treat by students at Spilsby’s King Edward VI Academy recently.
Coffee, sherry and Christmas food were on the menu, served by the enthusiastic young people and accompanied with carols sung by the school choir and a performance from the ukulele group.
Principal Margaret Reeve said the students always enjoyed hosting the coffee morning.
“The guests were very complimentary about the service they received, how nice the students looked in their uniforms and how pleasant the morning was,” she said.
“This year’s hosts were Year 10 girls who managed the greeting, serving and washing up magnificently,” Mrs Reeve added.
