A chance to experience life as a sixth former is being offered in a new initiative at Skegness Grammar School.
Those due to enter post-16 education this September are invited to the open morning at the
Vernon Road school, on Tuesday, March 11.
From 9am to 1pm, the day will include opportunities to sit in on lessons and meet students and staff.
Headmaster Simon Sprague said: “The idea is to give any student thinking about sixth form
this September, a full picture of what it entails and it follows on from the highly successful open evening we held last year.”
“It provides another opportunity for those who missed that event or for those who came but wish to experience the sixth form on a normal working day,” he added.
A-level results at Skegness Grammar have seen a significant improvement in recent years.
Last summer, 61 per cent of passes were at grades A and B, among the highest in Lincolnshire
