GCSE and A level students from Skegness Grammar School said farewell to the boarding house recently.

It gave the older residents of Wainfleet Hall boarding house the chance to wish their fellow students good luck in their forthcoming exam results.

The current crop of A level students are setting their sights high, with a number of notable University offers for the upper sixth pupils.

Offers include Cambridge (Architecture), Bath (Engineering), University of London (Computing) and Kent (Maths).

Resident House Parent of Wainfleet Hall Helen Nuttall said: “The boarding house is enjoying a surge in popularity, with all places filled for next year.”

The leaver’s enjoyed a special leaving celebration including a barbecue and balloon release.

Meanwhile, the annual dog show will be held at Wainfleet Hall on Saturday, July 5.

A mini break at Kenwick Park log cabins, Louth, is to be raffled off to support the event.

Raffle tickets cost £1 a strip and can be purchased from boarding administrator Pam Howes, at Skegness Grammar School.
