Best ever GCSE results for King Edward VI Humanities College in Spilsby
STUDENTS and staff at King Edward VI Humanities College are celebrating the best ever GCSE results in the school’s history.
More than 95 per cent of students achieved five or more GCSE grades A* to C, with more than 70 per cent achieving both of the difficult English and maths qualifications.
Head teacher Margaret Reeve was delighted to see the students surpass national averages and personal targets in the final year before the school becomes an academy under the David Ross Foundation.
She said: “I am so very please and proud of students and staff who have worked hard to secure this outstanding level of success.
“The level of teaching has been high and students have been eager to learn.
“Parents have been exceptional and the support of the David Ross Foundation has been greatly appreciated.
“As the college becomes and academy with the David Ross Foundation from September 1, we look forward to a winning partnership and more examples of outstanding success in the future.
“Students have every right to feel proud and we look forward to welcoming them back to six form study when the new academic year begins.”
Several stand out achievers among the 86 per cent of pupils who achieved 10 or more GCSE or equivalent have been noted for special congratulations.
Rhiannon Morgan-Knight achieved 18.5 GCSEs including six A* or A grades and Bethany Stubbins achieved nine A* or A grades.
