94% of pupils get first preference school in Lincolnshire, council reveals
A high percentage of pupils will receive their first place at secondary schools, the county council has revealed.
Of the 7,063 offers made to secondary schools, 94 per cent of the children will receive their first preference school (6,633 children) Lincolnshire county announced last Friday (March 1).
A total of 24 children will be offered a local school that isn’t one of their preferences compared to 39 last year. Parents have until the end of March to lodge an appeal.
If they return the appeal form by the deadline it will be heard before the end of term - if it is received late it will still be heard but this may be in the last week of term or in September.
