RESIDENTS and visitors to the Skegness area may get the chance to view dolphins and whales at Anderby Creek and Winthorpe this weekend.
Marine research charity Sea Watch is hoping to keep track of the animals living in UK waters during this summer’s annual National Whale and Dolphin Watch.
Anderby Creek will be hosting one of the sessions this Saturday, August 6 between 10am and 4pm.
All are welcome to come along and join the rangers at the Anderby Creek Hide, which can be found by following the dune path south from the car park to the top of the dunes.
On Sunday, August 7 rangers will also be watching from the Winthorpe National Coastwatch Institution Watch Tower between 10am and 4pm.
The National Coastwatch Institution is kindly giving over use of its tower for the event.
Species that can bee seen in this area include minke whale, bottlenose and white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoise.
