A man has been arrested following a series of incidents yesterday which culminated in an attempted murder investigation.

A 29-year-old man from the Derby area has been arrested in connection with the investigation and later today (Wednesday) will be interviewed at Skegness Police Station.

Wednesday, September 3, 12.04pm – Police have launched an attempted murder investigation.

A spokesman said the force is looking into a series of incidents, which culminated in the attempted murder investigation.

The incidents took place in the vicinity of the Scallywags nightclub on Sea Lane in Ingoldmells between 7pm and 10pm yesterday (Tuesday).

A 29-year-old man was allegedly assaulted.

He has not received hospital treatment.

Towards the end of that period a dark coloured people carrier-type vehicle was seen being driven in a reckless and dangerous manner and a member of public was struck by the vehicle. He was not seriously injured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area who may have seen an assault taking place, or the vehicle being driven in the dangerous manner.

Anyone with any information should ring Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 448 of September 2.

Sea Lane is temporarily closed while police conduct a forensic examination of the scene. It will be re-open as soon as possible.
