The scene on Grand Parade following an alarm call at the Plaza Family Entertainment Centre

Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of burglary after a high profile police search in the early hours of this morning.

Dog handlers and officers searched the Plaza Family Entertainment Centre on Grand Parade following a break in at around 5.30am.

A police spokesperson said: “There was quite a lot of police activity in the morning because we thought someone might have been on the roof.”

A male and a female from Skegness, both aged 16, were discovered and arrested on suspicion of burglary at around 8.30am.

Grand Parade had been closed throughout the search.
