Three arrested in Burgh le Marsh over allegations of handling stolen goods
Three men were arrested after police carried out a search at an industrial unit in Station Road, Burgh le Marsh yesterday (Thursday) in connection with an investigation into recent scooter and moped thefts in Louth.
A number of motorcycles were discovered that police said they believed to be stolen.
A 25-year-old man from Skegness, a 22-year-old man from Ingoldmells and a 38-year-old man from Irby In The Marsh were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and taken to Skegness Police station for interview. They have since been released on police bail until 11 April while enquiries continue.
The 25 year-old Skegness man was further arrested and bailed on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and extraction of electricity after a number of cannabis plants were allegedly found at his address during a subsequent search.
