Spilsby police appeal after fishing gear stolen from shed

POLICE in Spilsby have appealed for information after a shed burglary in the town’s Old Market Avenue.

The break-in and theft occurred sometime between 2pm on Saturday, June 23 and 11am on Saturday, June 30.

Various pieces of fishing tackle were stolen during the burglary, including five grey coloured fishing rods in a black Shakespeare holdall, five black Shimano fishing reels, two black carbon fibre baskets/seats, a silver coloured metal seat box with a brown leather seat and three black plastic boxes containing various small fishing related items and floats.

Bait boxes and weights were also stolen.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police by dialling 101 and quote ‘incident number 312 of June 30’. You can also report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
