Skegness nightclub visitor suffered fractured skull in assault

A NIGHTCLUB visitor who was knocked unconscious with a punch to the face has suffered a fractured skull, police have announced.

The 23-year-old man was treated by staff in the LA Cafe, Skegness, where he had been assaulted at around 4.45am on Sunday, August 26, and then taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The suspect left the scene before police arrived,

Investigating officer DS Jim Hodgson is still obtaining statements and gathering evidence in connection with the serious assault.

He has asked that the rumours circulating this case on social media sites, particularly those involving racist language, stop immediately.

He said: “This is not only harmful to the police investigation but those making such comments are committing a criminal offence and action will be taken against them.”

Anyone with any information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident 112 of August 26.
