A team were on hand within the Hildreds Centre last week to advise and help those looking to keep their homes and valuables safe.
The Skegness Crime Prevention Panel were in one of the centre’s pop-up shops from Monday until Sunday providing knowledge and handy-tips to shoppers.
“It’s been a good week. We’ve been providing advice about crime prevention,” said Robin Cram.
Around 30-40 people were visiting the shop each day to gain advice about marking their items, locks and asking questions.
“There’s been quite a few people popping in asking general questions. One thing we’ve pointed out is how to remove the temptation for opportunist thieves,” he added.
“If they can see presents under your Christmas tree through the window then there’s the temptation,” he explained.
A competition also ran all week giving entrants the chance to win a driveway alarm.
Members of the policing team also were present during the week at points.
