A 57-YEAR-OLD man has been sent for trial on a charge of causing the death of David Blackburn by careless driving at East Kirkby, near Spilsby on April 9.

Ian Duncan MacIntyre of Foxton, Cambridgeshire denied the offence at Skegness Magistrates’ Court last week and will make his first appearance at Lincoln Crown Court on January 13. He was granted unconditional bail.

Mr Blackburn died on the A155 main road after his red Ducati motorbike and Mr MacIntyre’s grey Jaguar collided at a crossroads just to the east of East Kirkby.

The father of five was 53-years-old and grew-up in Stickney. He was living in West Keal at the time of his death.

After the accident David’s wife paid an emotional tribnute to a “big-hearted man” and a “brilliant father”.
