Residents to get their chance to shape crime-fighting priorities in East Lindsey

RESIDENTS are to get a chance to shape crime-fighting priorities in the local area after emergency services and councils revealed they are to seek views on crime and anti-social behaviour.

The East Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership wants to hear your views on crime and anti-social behaviour.

The partnership, which covers East Lindsey, Boston and South Holland, brings together key agencies such as the police, fire and rescue, NHS Lincolnshire, the Lincolnshire Probation Trust and councils, works to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime.

Each year the partnership asks local people to explain their concerns around crime and disorder and identify the priorities they’d like the Partnership to focus its attention on.

The survey is available to complete online at www.boston.gov.uk/communitysafetysurvey and at consultation events during September and early October. The closing date for responses is Friday, October 5, 2012.

There will also be opportunities locally to complete the survery face-to-face at ‘Street Talking’ events.

These include sessions in Alford on Tuesday, September 18 and Spilsby on Monday, September 24.

Following lasts year’s survey, the partnership focussed on addressing issues such as anti-social behaviour, including alcohol fuelled disorder, which was identified as a concern in some areas.
