Raiders steal ‘large quantity’ of cigarettes from Ingoldmells shop

A ‘large quantity’ of cigarettes have been stolen in a raid on an Ingoldmells shop, police have reported.

A group of men wearing dark clothing, with their faces obscured, broke into the Spar shop, in Anchor Lane, through its front doors at about 11.40pm yesterday (July 30).

In all, four men are thought to have been involved in the raid.

A police spokesman said: “They broke into the cigarette cabinet within the store and stole a large quantity of cigarettes of various different brands.

“It is believed that they used a Renault Clio car during the raid. One offender stayed in the car while the other three entered the store.”

Det Con Brad Sim of Skegness CID is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact him via the 101 non-emergency number.
