Police make appeal after racist attack

POLICE in Skegness have appealed for information after a racially-aggravated assault in the heart of the town in broad daylight.

The attack occured after an Iranian family from Nottingham were approached by a man in the Lucky Strike arcade on Lumley Road, Skegness, shortly before 7pm on Friday, August 5.

A police spokesperson said: “The offender racially abused the family and then punched their 16 year-old son, causing injury to his jaw.

“The suspect is described as a white man with a shaved head and he was wearing a white t-shirt with a pattern motif and was in company with a female,” they added.
