Police in Spilsby have appealed for witnesses after an alleged assault in the town.

The incident, which police are treating as a possible incident of grievous bodily harm, is alleged to have occurred between 5.30pm and 6pm on Monday (October 14), in the area of the old theatre on Church Street or Pools Lane.

“The victim, a 54 year-old local man, suffered facial fractures and was treated at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital,” said a police spokesperson.

“Four men, aged 21, 26, 27 and 42, have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed until January while enquiries continue,” they added.
