POLICE in Ingoldmells have appealed for information in relation to an alleged assault on Old Roman Bank in April.
The force issued the appeal last week after an incident on April 27 prior to 11pm.
“A lone female, walking along the road, close to the Sealands Public House, was approached by a man, who followed her for a short distance and then [allegedly] assaulted her,” said a police spokesperson.
“The victim then sought assistance at the Sealands Public House and the Police were called at 10.58pm,.
“DC Gail Hurley would like to trace any witnesses who were driving along Old Roman Bank between 10.30pm and 10.50pm.
“Equally, any witnesses who saw a female walking on Old Roman bank at that time, or anyone who has any information concerning the incident, should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 497 of April 27,” they added.
A 21 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail pending further enquiries.
