None of the off-licences in Alford, Skegness or Ingoldmells, visited during a test purchase operation on Saturday, served the underage volunteers - though two failed to ask for ID.
Four volunteers aged 15 and 16 attempted to buy alcohol from 10 licences premises across the county as part of the Association of Chief Police Officers’ Alcohol Harm Week.
Eight of the 10 premises correctly requested ID from the volunteers and will not be revisited unless there are reports of underage sales.
In the local area Kwik E-Mart and Jai Superstore on West Street, Alford, Apex Local Store on Wainfleet Road, Skegness and Day to Day Convenience Store, Archways, Ingoldmells, were among the stores to successfully pass the test purchase operation.
Jaychand on Drummond Road and Skegness News World (Apex) on Roman Bank, Skegness, asked the volunteers’ age and did not serve them, though they did not ask for ID. They will be revisited.
