A MOTHER to be will be sentenced next month after she admitted making a false report of burglary to the police.

22-year-old Anita Bird pleaded guilty to perverting the course of public justice when she appeared at Lincoln Crown Court. (Mon)

The court heard Bird made a false report of a break-in at her former home in Windor Crescent, Ingoldmells, on 17 June this year.

Bird, who now lives in Nottingham, also admitted a second charge of damaging a door and internal fittings at the same property.

The court was told Bird has no previous convictions and is due to give birth at the start of December.

Recorder Nigel Daly adjourned sentence on Bird until 17 October for the preparation of a probation report.

Bird was granted bail on condition she does not enter Lincolnshire until her next appearance at Lincoln Crown Court.
