Man hospitalised after alleged machete attack
A 21-year-old man suffered a ‘serious gash’ to his head after an alleged assault involving a ‘machete-like weapon’ outside a Skegness pub.
The victim was visiting from Nottinghamshire when the alleged incident took place at 1am this morning, outside the Stumble Inn on Lumley Road.
A 43 year-old local man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon and was being interviewed at Skegness Police Station at 1pm today.
The injured man was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
A bladed weapon has been recovered.
