Man had £300 worth of heroin inside Skegness home

When police searched the home of a Skegness man, they found £300 worth of heroin in a box in his bedroom, a court was told last week.

Lee Wayne Miles, 40, of Winston Drive, admitted possessing 6.1 grammes of heroin at his home on December 5, when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court.

When interviewed by the police, he told them he thought he only had three grammes and that he had paid £150 for it for his own use.

Mitigating, Saleem Khan said Miles got the money by selling his motorbike. He said Miles had been badly beaten up three months before and had taken to heroin to ease the pain. He added he was seeing Addaction and voluntarily taking methadone to deal with his addiction. Miles was given a 12-month conditional discharge and made to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
