Man charged with robbery of pensioner

A MAN has appeared in court charged with robbery after a pensioner was injured in Skegness.

Michael David Hurst, 21, of Wainfleet Road in Skegness, was arrested following an incident that took place in Alexandra Road on Thursday, October, 13 during which a 76 year-old man was injured.

Hurst appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday) charged with robbery.

A 28 year-old woman and a 15 year-old boy, both from Skegness, were also arrested and have been released on police bail until 15 December. A further man who is believed to have been involved is currently being sought by police.

The injured man is in a stable condition in a hospital in Nottingham.
