Lincolnshire Police’s first Crime Panel meeting held
A new era of public accountability for the police has been heralded with the first Lincolnshire police and Crime Panel meeting.
The panel, tasked with scrutinising the work of newly elected Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick, met recently.
Seven district and three county councillors sit on the panel alongside two independent panel members Norman Norris and Christopher Cook, both of whom have experience in the justice system.
Former policeman Coun Ray Wootten was elected chairman and Mr Norris, his deputy.
The panel will next meet on February 7.
