Ida Road metal theft appeal

POLICE in Skegness have appealed for information after a metal theft from a property in the town at the weekend.

The local force has urged any witnesses to come forward after burglars targeted the property in Ida Road some time over October 6 or 7.

“The offenders forced the gates at the rear and entered the boiler room at the premises, stealing two large cylinders and a quantity of copper piping,” said a spokesperson.

“Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police by dialling 101 and quoting ‘incident 49 of October 8’.

You can also report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The police have made their appeal as part of the ongoing Operation Brompton, which was set up in response to a spate of metal theft in the Lincolnshire area.
