Holidaymaker caught with cocaine worth £400

A 51 YEAR old man, who came to Skegness for the weekend after falling out with his partner, was found in possession of cocaine when police searched him.

Wayne Harvey Manning, who lives in Derby, was the passenger in a car stopped by police in Spilsby Road on September 8.

He admitted possession of eight grammes of cocaine, said to be worth around £400, when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court last week.

The court was told that when police searched him, they found the cocaine in bags in his jacket and jeans.

In mitigation, it was said it was for his personal use and he would have used the drug over the three or four days of the weekend.

The magistrates imposed a fine of £75 and ordered he pay £85 in costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
