A museum and lunch club in Skegness have received donations from the East Lindsey Councillor Community Grants scheme.

Skegness Scarbrough and Seacroft councillor John Byford awarded £750 to The Village Church Farm for their Purple Rein project. The money will enable transportation of a static giant horse and cow display commemorating The First World War and the role animals played in it, for exhibition at the Hildreds Centre to promote learning outside the classroom for schools.

Skegness Winthorpe councillor Susan Blackburn awarded £250 to Winthorpe Community Partnership for the purchase of cooking pans, a new electric socket and dinner service for Marie’s Lunch Club to continue to provide a social gathering for older, isolated members of the community.
