Two traders - Amanda Carter and Richard Manley - have taken up the opportunity,

Amanda’s Household Discounts offer home essentials such as tea towels, baking trays, bin liners and seasonal products. You can see Amanda at Horncastle every Thursday and Saturday, and at Spilsby on a Monday.

Amanda said: “This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while and the new trader offer from East Lindsey District Council presented an opportunity for this. I’m hoping to make a success of the business on the markets for years to come.”

Richard runs his business Fantasy Isles and will be at Louth every Friday, and Horncastle on a Saturday.

His stall offers dragon ornaments, incense, t-shirts and assorted jewellery and accessories.

Richard said: “The new trader offer has enabled me to join the markets and offer my products to a wider audience which is something I hope will expand for the future.”

Markets Manager Esther Belton, said: “This is a great opportunity for Amanda and Richard. Over the years, we have seen numerous market traders progress to their own shop premises after a successful start on the markets.

“A market stall is a fantastic way to test the water and see if people like your products for a relatively small start-up cost.”
