East Lindsey District Council is working to minimise the impact of strike action on October 14, 2014.

Trade Union, Unison, has rejected a 1 percent pay offer made to local government workers across the country.

Other Unions may join the action.

Whilst the Council say they will do all it can to reduce service disruption on October 14 there may be some.

Residents who usually have a Tuesday refuse or recycling collection are advised to put their bin out as usual.

If your bin isn’t collected on the Tuesday, the council advise to leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible. The Council will be collecting waste on Saturday if necessary.

The Council will know which rounds haven’t been completed so there isn’t a need to report it to the Council if your bin isn’t collected.

Wednesday collections will be as normal.

The Council’s Customer Service Centre will remain open as usual.

The Council anticipates that phone lines may be busier than usual on Tuesday, October 14, so please visit the Council’s website to see if your query can be dealt with online www.e-lindsey.gov.uk.
