Skegness Children’s Centre has announced the launch of a new group for all teenage parents and parents to be.
The first session of the group will be held on Friday, April 4 at the Children’s Centre in Brunswick Avenue, Skegness, between 12.30pm and 2pm.
The group will be supported by qualified youth workers and crèche workers, but will be directed by the young people themselves.
Sessions can be planned to provide support and advice to young parents on any issue affecting either them, or their children, in a non judgmental and safe environment.
Guest speakers can be invited to give presentations on parenting, health, first aid and any other subject the young people choose.
The sessions are intended to be fun and informative and an opportunity to meet other young parents to make new friends, chat and relax.
All young parents aged up to the age of twenty are welcome, along with their children or ‘bump’.
The first task on April 4, will be for young people to decide a name for the group and help us plan the programme of activities.
