Youngsters at an under-threat library enjoyed a ‘fairy-tale picnic’ yesterday.

Around 40 children and their teddies took part in the fun event hosted by Alford Library on Saturday.

Librarian Pamy Hyde read a selection of fairy-tales to the youngsters, who later sang songs and ate their picnics among the books in the children’s section.

Alford library is among a number of facilities threatened with closure by Lincolnshire County Council.
More news on library closures to follow.
