THE deadline to apply for a Large Community Grant from East Lindsey District is fast approaching.
Not For Profit community organisations, including constituted community groups, sports clubs, registered charities, social enterprises and town and parish councils have three weeks before the application deadline - September 16.
The district council has already awarded £57,500 to community projects in Round 1 of Large Community Grant funding earlier in the year. It is expected that a further £60,000 will be awarded to a number of groups for a variety of activities during Round 2, which is the final round of funding for the 2014/15 financial year.
Groups can apply for grants ranging from £1,000 to £8,000 to support community projects.
Large Community Grant application packs are available to download at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/grants. Alternatively, application packs can be requested by contacting the Community Grants Team on 01507 613040 or by emailing email@example.com
Groups are also reminded that the Councillors’ Community Grants Scheme remains open for applications until March 1, 2015. Through this grant scheme smaller grants of up to £1,000 are available. Local people should talk to their district councillors about this funding, which they can award to projects in line with certain criteria.
