Day centre coffee morning raises over £300

News.

The Skegness Day Centre held their first monthly coffee morning of the year on Saturday, February 8.

This month, the coffee morning was hosted by the Probus Club of Skegness.

The club provided and ran the raffle, raising £166, however altogether the centre raised £313 throughout the morning, selling cakes, running a tombola and of course selling tea, coffee and biscuits.

The day centre provides day care for an average of 45 people a day, giving the elderly a chance to get out the house and socialise with others as well as also giving carers some respite.

Money raised goes towards providing items to help both clients and staff in the day to day running of the centre.

The next coffee morning will be on March 8, at 10am-noon and will be hosted by the Trefoli group.
