There are still places left on workshops for community groups interested in applying for funding through East Lindsey’s community grant schemes.

The two grant schemes opened for applications in April. The Councillors’ Community Grant Scheme is for grants of up to £1,000, and the Large Community Grant Scheme up to £8,000.

Councillors’ Community Grants can be applied for up to March 1, 2015 by contacting local ward councillors. The process is fast and straightforward and groups can request grants to support a wide variety of activities.

The Large Community Grant Scheme provides grants of up to £8,000. There are two funding rounds each year. Although the first funding round application has passed, groups can still apply to round two by submitting a completed application before September 16, 2014.

To support groups wishing to apply for grants the district council has arranged a series of funding workshops designed to give useful hints and tips for completing an application.

The workshops will take place:

North Thoresby Village Hall – Wednesday June 11, 7-9pm;

The Meridale Centre, Sutton on Sea – Tuesday June 17, 7-9pm;

Coronation Hall, Wainfleet - Monday June 23, 7-9pm at Coronation Hall;
