Community Lincs announces plans for ‘Lincolnshire Online Week’ at libraries and community buildings in the county

Community Lincs has announced plans for the ‘Lincolnshire Online Week’, which will run from July 1 t 7 in libraries and community buildings throughout the county.

They are offering free internet access and support to develop your internet skills and capture your memories on line.

“We will be using our new website, www.lincsmemories.org, to create an online “time capsule” of Lincolnshire life with all your memories of the county,” said a spokesperson.

“Everyone has a memory to share, whether it’s amusing, profound or even just downright bizarre so, rather than just “surfing”, we will help you to post it on the website.

“This is about using the internet in a fun way, meeting with local people, sharing ideas amongst yourselves and seeing how easy it is to communicate in different parts of the world.

“If you are interested in working as a volunteer to help and support, or just want to learn about the internet, we have sessions planned throughout Lincolnshire,” they added.

To find out where the sessions will take place, contact Ian Ransom at Community Lincs on 01529 301969 or email ian.ransom@communitylincs.com.
